In order to meet an increasing demand for their advanced microelectronic systems and the quality requirements particularly in space technology, ÅAC Microtec has created a new laboratory for development and production of electronic modules in the MSL cleanroom. The new 70 sqm laboratory contains a process line intended for the most critical processes and well adapted for the volumes predicted in the near future. All ÅAC Microtec´s key processes based on thin film technology will be carried out in the new laboratory, which houses a sputter system and wet benches with stations for plating and etching of thin films.
