Examples of possible application areas are given by the various projects using the lab. These cover a broad spectrum from fundamental science to commercial development and from micro- / nanoelectronics to life science. For many projects the entire infrastructure is a crucial resource and the core facility, whereas others rely on MSL for a specific tool, e.g in materials analysis. All types of projects are welcome, as long as they fit within the boundary conditions required to maintain safety and quality in the lab.
